Avila Styles is the only place you should get your haircut! Dom is the best barber we have ever been to! We wouldn’t go to anyone else. He cuts our entire family’s hair. He is extremely skilled and makes the experience so enjoyable. He has done some amazing designs with the razor and always takes his time. He is so great with kids. My son was terrified of haircuts and Dom was so patient and encouraging. Now Dom is the only one her likes cutting his hair.
I wanted to share my recent experience at your shop. But first I have to share a little back story. About 3 weeks ago my 15 year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer (Promyelocytic Leukemia also known as APML) everything happened so far we initially took her to the urgent care Sunday afternoon thinking it was a fever or worse Covid. But that evening our world was turned upside down. She was discharged this past Monday but is still undergoing chemotherapy treatments daily at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. Because of this my baby has lost a lot of hair. Thursday night her dad and I decided it was time to let her cut our hair too. She did an amazing job . I noticed I needed a little cleaning so I decided to book an appointment with whoever was available at your shop and was fortunate to get scheduled with probably the most empathic and understanding human, Jerod. He shared his story I shared mine. After my cut when it was time to pay for my services his response led me to nearly bolt out of the shop in tears. His words struck me and I had no idea that they would. “You have enough to deal with the cut is on me.” Once I got in my car the tears flooded. It wasn’t just a cut for me. It was a person sympathizing and connecting. I’ll remember this interaction for the rest of my life. You have an amazing barber among you. He was a small light in my world of chaos. -Mya Schnabel

I’ve been getting my son’s haircut by Jared a few times now. My son is on the spectrum and is harder to deal with when out of his element. Jared is the most patient, understanding, and empathetic when he is having a difficult time in the chair. Jared shared his own personal experience with his son with me and made me feel so understood in a world where people aren’t so understanding of kids on the spectrum. I cannot say enough good things about him. The world needs more people like Jared and I will continue to recommend him to anyone and everyone.
We've had a great experience here. Happy to support a small business owner as well. Both boys get their hair cut here and walk out with a great style each time. One of my boys was working on a specific look that has taken some time and patience...and a skilled barber. I would highly recommend them!
